14N
Spatt, forgive me if I'm wrong, but I think you're referring to the 'GT Spec' strut braces. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/32900-gt-spec-polished-strut-brace/

HaydnH
I'm in the market for a strut brace myself, but for a HR. Don't think the GT-spec fits the HR, think the Cusco one might... anyone know for sure?
Tarmac@TarmacSportz
I'm in the market for a strut brace myself, but for a HR. Don't think the GT-spec fits the HR, think the Cusco one might... anyone know for sure? The Tanabe does as I have sold a few to HR owners... You can test the Tarmac one for me if you like as that will be ready soon

The Cusco one should fit both models, I am trying to verify that though
Lexx
The original Cusco one didn't fit the HR model. I don't know if they changed the design later on though.
HaydnH
The Tanabe does as I have sold a few to HR owners... You can test the Tarmac one for me if you like as that will be ready soon Apart from being red I don't really see much difference in style between OEM and Tanabe, hardly seems worth it to me. Let me know about your own brand though and I'm happy to provide a HR test car if needed. The Cusco one should fit both models, I am trying to verify that though The original Cusco one didn't fit the HR model. I don't know if they changed the design later on though. I believe this is the Cusco one on a HR, looks like a tight fit:

Z-monster
The original Cusco one didn't fit the HR model. I don't know if they changed the design later on though. HR engines are taller - dare say that's why it fits very snuggly!
Lexx
That is exactly the reason why it doesn't fit. It was 2008 when we tried this, I had one of the first HR engined cars in the UK, so no one knew what would fit and what wouldn't.
HaydnH
Looking at the red car above though, the cusco does appear to fit without spacers/washers and looks lower that the OEM brace so the bonnet shouldn't be a problem. Not sure if the strut actually touching the engine cover would cause damage over time though (e.g: cracking the engine cover)?
