  • 1 month later...

Haha resorted to my phone ATM had to rebuild my laptop again.

Cheers guys. Yeah home sprayed it all up in a week. The handles were the easiest. Only issue with home spraying is dust and sh!it. Handles came out a nice match. Halfords mixed it up.

When I get another week off I'll probably redo the engine cover. It's not right near the v6 due to my tampering. Handles came out nice, going to redo as they need more laccour. But the handles were originally scuffed so much better than they were.

Sorry Will :p

P.s. cover is sill white :)

How are the door handles holding up dude? I was going to do mine but I'm worried about not getting the paint thick enough and it wearing through after the opening/closing a heap of times. Had a price to get them done professionally at £70.

They seem to be fine, that was something I was and still am worried about as they are eye catching part of the car, and easy to notice issues.

But they are fine, the texture of them isn't what I was expecting, it feels like 'Rubber' as if I was too dig my nail into it, it would hold a mold of it. This could be due to not enough laccour not sure, or it could be how it is for a home jobby.

I just take it easy when opening etc.

Oh and Matt  Originally the week was meant to be a week of spraying Door handles and front splitter, decided against splitter and went for engine bay :p

looking good even though ive seen it in the other threads :)

How does your 350 compare to that dc5 in speed? always liked them but skipped past the dc5 and straight onto the 350 lol.. i had a dc2 before and luved it!

Never driven her car, but I do love it, it's the 2nd one she's had. Lets just say her DC5 has hit 170 before (Chances of clocks being out) We've not had a chance for a one on one and I've never been in it at 'full throttle' but they are awesome. Hopefully you will see us at Japfest and maybe I'll have some more inforemation then.

Looking great mate, i have just got the same diffuser from Tarmac. How did they attach it in the end and did you have any issues with clearance on the exhaust tips? On a test fit it seems a bit tight with my Invidia

They used about 4-6 screws with a drill, then got a black sharpee ;) get some tape and a pencil, you'll need to mark up on the bumper, along with some masking tape to hold it in place and to avoid scratching. Once it's fitted properly it clears the exhaust easily.

Did they drill/screw through the diffuser into the bumper mate?
