djb55
Lol ricey could be, but awesome looking car though, reminds me a bit off the yota gt86 ?? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
coldel
£6k will see you in a 34gtt , I paid less than that for mine last year Stunning, less than £6k?? £4600 . Needed a fair bit of tlc but not a lot of money , but then I can do most things myself Wow, that is making me think. I have a family of car mechanics, so mechanically, I have no labour costs. Can do simple spray work myself (interior panels and the like), could be a good project! Oh and no badge snob (I did own a VX after all) but the hyundai is not for me. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk In my view its the best looking 'cheap' car money can buy........shame it doesnt go like it looks The 2.7l is barely quicker than the 2.0l if ever a nice looking cheapish car was crying out for a turbo is is the 2.0 Hyundai coupe, it's sheer lack of torque is just laughable and then if you rev the knackers out of it to actually get some excitement you actually get worse fuel economy than a Zed, this is from experience.... I did however only lose £250 in a year on ours

LRF4N
Get yourself onto skyline owners mate and have a look at the 34 GTT projects Like the 33s, non GTRs don't look anywhere near as good as GTRs in standard guise but with the right kit they can look awesome. I bought my 33 already modded, changed the front bumper and wheels and it's a totally different car. Sell the parts I take off and use it for further mods. KyleR
I was thinking S15 or 14, but I think the 15 may be out of budget, but then as others have said, GTST R33's and 34 could be got for under £6k easily

Yes saw that, obviously looking past the silly stickers its a decent car, although I have to try and get my head around having an automatic Looks nice http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/R33-Nissan-Skyline-in-black-/271331264450 Although the Celica GT4s are knocking around a bit cheaper http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1997-Toyota-Celica-GT-Four-ST205-GT4-Late-Spec-/321253794886

Also I believe having an automatic allows you to park in disabled parking bays according to some of the people in S.Wales but don't quote me on that one.

coldel
Just need to find a dealer local and take one for a spin...I don't hate autos, I just never choose to drive them and I enjoy manuals. I might like them, but not sure!
LRF4N
Personally if I had a project or weekend car I'd always want manual and for a daily I'd want auto but drive it cos you never know What options are you seriously considering now the vx is away?
Richf
You wouldnt want a R35 then? A good modern auto is still rewarding to drive, the tiptronic in the Skyline is great on a fast road you can just flick between 2nd and 3rd using the lever or steering wheel buttons

Finding myself looking at a Celica GT4 (which would get some exterior enhancements to bring it up to date) or an R33/R34 dependant on budget. Very nice but a bit pricey http://www.skyline-owners-club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46124

LRF4N
Nice car but you can get them much cheaper Oh and a wee tip- join the other skyline forum if you do end up with one G35 and s15 off the list? S15s tend to be a bit more expensive and g35s tend to be autos
