KurtB
Has anyone heard from the OP for a while? I sent a PM a couple of months back and heard nothing back, thought he might be working away or something!

Humpy
I highly doubt he is doing this anymore. Last time I met up he was considering selling, I was a guinea pig for this and somehow never ended up with the end product as promised. Never chased it up though. Hooch
Well if he's not selling anymore then rubber washers are the cheapest and easiest solution going, used them in mine just like the penny trick and they don't damage paintwork. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/15x-ASSORTED-RUBBER-TAP-WASHERS-3-8-1-2-3-4-Sink-Bath-Basin-Drip-Seal-Plumb-/201114993323?pt=UK_DIY_Materials_Plumbing_MJ&hash=item2ed36342ab These should work a treat! ZEUS
Does anyone know if you can DIY this spring replacement and where the springs can be got? Take the spring out of yours and get a slightly longer, stiffer spring from a spring supplier. https://www.springmasters.com/?gclid=CLWd98Lv5cwCFYEy0wodgm4Oww Edited May 19, 2016 by ZEUS

I'm just looking to skip the process of taking out the spring, driving somewhere to a find a spring supplier etc etc and just buy two off ebay
ZEUS
I think unless you can get hold of peteman or someone with his uprated springs then it's going to be trial and error.

I agree - See I went to do the penny mod only to find the previous owner has already been there (although there are only 2). I might fire in a couple of rubber washers and see what that does first. ZEUS
I've used rubber as it doesn't damage the paint where the popper sits when closed.
ZEUS
Also take the boot weight out, that helps.
