AK350Z
Thinking of an early xmas prezzie, and while the One looks a lot nicer, the removable battery and SD card on the S4 makes it more useful. What do you recon?
Lexx
Can't comment on the HTC, but I love my S4. Coming from a long history of iPhones it was a revelation and I wouldn't change it. Lots of gimmicks that I don't use like, but plenty that I do. The screen is nice and big, and very very clear. Stock keyboard and spellcheck is crap, but you can download a variety of types for free from the Play store. I'd say it's essential to get a case for it from the start, as I scratched my camera a little bit on a table as the lense is flush with the back. 14N
Are you still using the standard bluetooth and Bose HU in your Zed? I believe there's a problem with the S4 pairing up with it. Not sure if there's a fix/upgrade for it or if there are and issues wuth the HTC (I think BBK has one), but maybe something to consider iof you are.
AK350Z
I don't pair phones to the car anyway. I've currently got a Desire so I suppose I'm leaning towards the HTC, never had a Samsung so unsure if I'll like the software or not, doubt I'd use all the air gesture suff, and lack of an FM radio tuner is a bit random, as I actually use the one on my phone, how old fashioned of me! The Bounty Bar Kid
Htc one rocks. Love it. Build quality is amazing, so is the hardware & software. It you are used to htc, then get the one. Voted best phone of 2013.
Paddy78
I'm sure the S4 and iPhone 5s have also been voted best phones of 2013.
AliveBoy
I know it's not one of the options, but I moved from iPhone 4S to the Sony xperia Z1 and it's truly awesome. I'd highly recommend a look at it, and it's a Z too
The Bounty Bar Kid
Tbh, I only usually read the T3 awards but here goes... Gadget of the year http://awards.t3.com...get-of-the-year Design award http://awards.t3.com...t3-design-award Phone of the year http://awards.t3.com...one-of-the-year I wouldn't really say that T3 test is fair currently, as the iPhone 5S and 5C weren't taken into account, and neither was the Z1, but their predecessors were. I'm guessing its because the phones weren't out at the time, but for someone considering a new phone now, it's a bit irrelevant. Especially as you can't even get a new iPhone 5 now
richmillions
If you are going to look at the HTC I'd consider the nexus 5, for the price and spec. The camera is a little lower spec than the S4 so depends how much you'd use that but in the nexus no memory slot and battery is built in as per the HTC. Worth a look. I got one of these as well - lovely piece of kit - feels nice and solid in the hand as far as features........I probably don't use a tenth of what it can do
