MartynB85
Hi I have had my spare car keys stolen from my house, i'm not too bothered about changing the locks or the barrel. I'm not sure how they work but i'd like to change the codes so that the spare fobs no longer open and start the car. Is this possible? One of the keys stolen was the master keys if that makes any difference. What are my options and is there anyone in/around Birmingham that can help? Thanks
KyleR
I wasn't aware the 350 had a master key, I thought it was just the 2 keys plus a valet one…?
Toon Chris
Simple answer, to avoid the details, go to the dealer and order two new keys and when they code the car to accept them it will automatically invalidate the other keys. MartynB85
Sorry, yes its the valet key. So the 350 can only have 2 keys coded to them? Will this stop the old keys from starting the car if they manage to get into it? Thanks
Toon Chris
No, you can have more that 2 keys, but if you tell them when they do the recoding they will remove the old keys from the ECU.
