Call out to IT Geeks (Citrix)

Thought I'd see if anyone on here has some suggestions.

Here at work we run virtual desktops through think clients off a Citrix server.

We have a few different sites and my boss wants each site to have a Screen mounted on the wall to display a web browser showing stats, incoming calls, appointments etc. We have the web page setup etc.

Now we'd prefer not to use a PC as we'd like to keep it neat and minimal to cables dangling down. And also there is the cost factor, the cheaper the better. (As it doesn't need to perform miracles just to display some stats)

My current options are a couple of android Media Centres, that connect to the TV through HDMI. I can then download the Citrix App and run our desktop through that. If it's on the same network, if it has chrome, then we can just use the browser without the need of citrix.

I just wanted to see if anyone has a similar setup and can recommend a product to use. We'd ideally like a Usb type stick, as it'd be small, simple and no cables. But a lot I have found have had some very poor reviews.

Need to have Ethernet port, Pref Wifi.

Mouse and Keyboard input.

VGA/DVI/HDMI Output.

App store - With access to citrix.

Hi,

The Android sticks are ok but most are far from perfect. Something like an Intel NUC stuck behind the TV would be better and more flexable. No need for the Citrix receiver or ICA client if all you are doing is displaying a web page :)

Cheers,

Martyn

Id stick to a company approved device with a company approved build as that just sounds like a compliance/security nightmare to me.

We have an AV department and they basically have a central media server which sends the signal out to all the screens mounted through the offices. This way the device is secure ( no numpty deciding it would be a good idea to show some playboy tv etc) and you can change the content at a whim to all screens.

I don't have the detail of how or what they use though
