davedutch
Hi, looking to swop original head unit, must have android connectivity, blue tooth, run sat nav from phone or internal (prefer phone) usb input to charge phone, I like touch screen but its not essential. Looking to preferably spend no more than £400 and easy to install, also advice on necessary wiring kit or mods would be appreciated. Finally, is it worth selling original on ebay and if so any ideas what its worth, everthing works.
Floydbax
I have : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171030204354?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649 this unit - for the price it is incredible!! But it does not have Android, in your shoes I would be looking at this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Android-4-0-Double-2DIN-Car-GPS-DVD-Player-WIFI-3G-BT-USB-Radio-Stereo-Tablet-PC-/171145873688?pt=UK_Audio_TV_Electronics_In_Car_Entertainment_GPS_In_Car_Audio_Players_PP&hash=item27d916c918 or this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Double-Din-Android-GPS-Navigation-CD-DVD-Stereo-Player-RDS-Radio-BT-3G-WIFI-/171049880815?pt=UK_Audio_TV_Electronics_In_Car_Entertainment_GPS_In_Car_Audio_Players_PP&hash=item27d35e0cef I can thoroughly recommend this seller and his products value for money. ( There is likely to be an import duty to pay on the goods but it's only like £20 or so). I used the http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180831254669?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649 interface and the guide from the american Z forum. The Bounty Bar Kid
Top of fascia needed to be cut (trimmed back). Apart from that it was easy. I use the htc one. Just needed the fascia and steering wheel controls wire.
spursmaddave
I am sure everyone thinks theirs is the 'best' a top tip is tongo for a brand you like/trust with the features you want/like and the spcs that you need/desire What one person says is the best thing ever, yiu might hate, go to a nice big car audio place and have a play with some of the demo units Sent from the golf club... Lexx
You're not really looking for "the best HeadUnit are you. You're looking for the best headunit with USB, Sat Nav, Bluetooth for £400. That's a big difference to what your thread title suggests. Find a brand you like. Especially the user interface as it tends to be poor UI's that **** people off the most. Make sure you like the way it lights up. Nothing more annoying than a Ice Blue headunit glaring at you when you're driving at night. I like Pioneer personally. Good value/functionality ratio. Although only their single din kit. The double din HU look fugly.
