nowhereboy
When the garage took off my old tyres I it became apparent that the old ones were in way worse condition then I thought. The rears were worn quite badly on the inside and the fronts quite badly on the outside. I've just had kumho ku39's fitted all round (fantastic tyres for the money by the way the car is much nicer to drive). Anyway, will I need to get my wheels aligned to make sure the tyres don't wear unevenly again or will that not be needed with new and balanced tyres? The car feels planted and isn't pulling to either side or anything.
Ewen@Clark Motorsport
It would be best to have it checked especially if its not been done in a while, just make sure wherever you take it to understands what their doing as a lot of the Fast Fit centers now have very good equipment but not so much of an idea when it comes to operating them correctly. Ekona
Do it once a year, more often if you drive on crap roads. Fronts really shouldn't be wearing on the outside.
brillomaster
the uneven wear on the tyres suggests the tracking is out - if you just replace the tyres they will wear in the same way - defo get an alignment done!
