350 Russ
I changed my Clutch slave cylinder last week but the nut from the solid pipe to the hose wouldn't budge and ended up rounding off. So this go me thinking, how hard would it be to change the ridged pipe from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder?
Keyser
A PITA as it winds it's way through the car - however if you take off the passenger side front wheel arch liner (rear part) you will find a big valve the hard pipe from the slave cylinder runs to the bottom and is a fairly easy change. The top pipe from the valve is one piece that runs back to the master cylinder IIRC it runs along under the windscreen wipers in front of the bulkhead. Hope it helps

ZMANALEX
As what Chris has said or you can simply cut off the flare and remove the damaged nut, fit new nut and then make new flare. The repaired pipe will be circa 5mm shorter, however it will reach the hose. The tools required would be a small hacksaw, file and a flaring tool. Alex. 350 Russ
thats a good shout, but the braided clutch hose that i have has a female end to it, is there a nipple type fitting in-between the pipe and hose?
ZMANALEX
The flare makes the seal mate. Just carry out as above and fit a new male nut to replace your damaged one. Alex.
