HaydnH
Saw this over at vx220.org.uk via a colleague: Apparently the guy had a scratch on his head but was otherwise fine. 370Ad
The crash barrier cut the seat where his head should have been but his head flew forward and hit the screen.....dam lucky! Traction control on for a bit.....
HaydnH
Apparently the tie rods are known to go on them, if I had a VX220 and saw that I'd be swapping them out for uprated ones right away!
GMballistic
Very nasty & lucky guy to get out in relatively one piece. Don't think that will polish out though.
Ekona
Sweet baby Jesus! Can't tell if that is/was a genuine VXR, and didn't read all the thread to check.
coldel
Yeah saw that on the forum, crazy stuff. The SSSF reference is to this video (listen for the words at the end), tis why I treat my VX with UTMOST respect! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOQpV1NmYgE

Suits
Ha ha, you have to laugh and his realisation of what just happened and his coming to terms language at the end. Lucky.

Will370z
Friend had a lovely VX but i lost countof the number of times he span out lol. You have to treate them carefully, cracking car though.
coldel
Happy with my meagre 147bhp...some of the lads are running supercharged 265bhp cars which is just mad (the one that crashed could well have been a supercharged conversion)
cs2000
Yeah well that's put me off of those! Didn't have audio on as im at work, but he appears to have spun in a straight line...
coldel
Slightly bizarre that a car with so much grip can let go so easily - all it takes is sufficient uneven grip and you don't have traction control or the like to save you like more modern cars. People have spun on diesel and even drain grates by the side of the road. Still, it is an unbelievable car to drive when it does stay straight
Gudzy
I suppose they can spin so easily because they've added lots of lightness I'm still considering picking one up cheap over winter.
cs2000
Heh, "adding" lightness. Id like one as a little toy, but then id also like a smart car as a toy too...
Ekona
No serious petrolhead should go his life without owning an Elise. There is nothing that compares to them.
