GMballistic
Hello Keith, is it a nut then or a bolt? If you've just stripped the head (rounded off) then there are tool's available to easily remove these. One is "Grip Tite"; http://www.griptitetools.com/
Z-Boy
It's a security torx nut whch has a round head to start with, and I think I would have to cut away the plastic steering wheel cowl to get anything around it.
spursmaddave
I know the bolt you mean, one each side.... Unlucky to round it, I think as you say you will have problems getting any removal tool around it. Maybe drill it out carefully? GMballistic
Not sure how big this bolt is but failing spursmaddave's suggestion on drilling it out you could try this but it is a bit of work. Firstly you drill a small hole in to the bolt, then you tap the hole to fit another smaller bolt which you then screw in and epoxy in place. Once the epoxy has gone off fully, you then unscrew the smaller bolt which hopefully will pull out the other bolt with it. Doesn't always work but I've done it in the past. Good luck with it. GMballistic
Not the best picture Keith. What a nightmare though. Really hope some other members step in with a few ideas as that looks awkward as sin to get at.
