fairladyz2013
Hi ppl, Advice needed, thank u kindly in advance ! 👠I had a service done on my car yesterday and they changed the spark plugs too. Was told that the plugs had oil on them and that possibly need to replace the rocker cover gasket? Was also told that this isn't a major problem as the engine will burn off the oil and to just keep my oil levels checked weekly. Anyone know if this is correct ? or had similar problems before? Thanks to all that reply! ðŸ‘ðŸ˜ðŸ‘
glrnet
Rocker cover gaskets are known to fail, PM Clarke Motorsport for replacements.
Ewen@Clark Motorsport
Hi, this is a fairly common issue, the seals for the plug holes deteriorate over time and allow oil past. These seals come as part of the rocker cover though meaning you have to replace the cover and outer seal. We have these in stock, drop me a PM if I can help. fairladyz2013
Thanks for the replies ... Is it safe to drive still as they say or will it cause long term damage or a potential hazard driving it for now? Cheers for all other replies again 😠
