LiamR
Just a quick question re:headlight tints. Do they decrease the visability of the headlights at night and if so by how much- is there a way to compensate this if so? Also, is it legal to tints the headlights? KyleR
You're basically sticking sunglasses on your zed. Do sunglasses let the same amount of light through to your eyes? How much? 20% tint reduces light output by approx. 20%, 30% tint reduces output by approx. 30% and so on and so forth

Easty
If you stick a tint on then there not legal but there is Spi-Vision that you can get for them that is legal. . . It's pretty cheap looks smart and doesn't really affect how bright the lights are . . . . Iv got it on the back lights and the front reflectors it's far far cheaper than getting tinted lights . . Just toying with the idea of getting it on the front but waiting to see what the eyebrows look like first lol

AliveBoy
Have a look at the link it's the page for it. . http://www.spi-vision.co.uk That's the same as this: http://www.flyeyeskit.co.uk/ I have it on my rear indicators and it looks ok. It's been fitted for a couple of years now, I always forget it's on there but I'd never had an issue with it. When you buy from them they give you a booklet for if you get pulled over, it has all the laws and reasons why it doesn't break them listed. I wouldn't use it on a large light surface though, might look a bit naff

Richie-B
I had the fly eye stuff on the m3 and it didn't really effect the light quality, even passed a mot.... But it's kinda cheap and nasty stuff

scobie140
Read on some sites that the fly eye type kits a cause cracking of the headlight over time due to the heat, that's why I've sh@t out of doing it on my headlights so far. Don't know if its true or not though
AliveBoy
I can't imagine it would, it's not going to change the expansion properties of the plastic much, the vinyl would suffer from extreme heat way before the headlight plastic would anyway.
