EvansJD2112
Thought it about time I posted my Z journey so far..... I'd been on the lookout for a Z for a couple of months; been spending a fair bit of time in Sao Paulo with work and seen quite a few on the streets looking amazing In April 2012, saw a 2009 GM 313 GT advertised, drove down and put a deposit on there and then. Only 16000 on the clock as the previous owner did very little mileage. I had no intention of doing any mods at all to begin with. But then started hanging around on this forum...... First dabble.. time to replace the stereo with a new headunit that had DAB and iPod connectivity Took out the bluetooth adapter and routed the ipod to here, built a simple holder using a cheap case of eBay Next, some speaker updates,, Alpine sub, Zenclosure under strutt and JL Amp Replace the rear speakers, but wanted them on show DAB reception was pants, so replaced the external FM with a DAB one Then, Tarmac had an offer on the Takeda dual induction kit And then a Cobra resonated to go with it Interior LED change (which caused me a nightmare, blew fuses and one of the switches) And today, was over at Demon Tweeks getting Eibach springs and spacers fitted That's the journey so far.... Uprev planned for next year.......

Steel Lynx
I also had no intention of modifying my car but since I've been on this forum... Well, let's just say I'm already in the process of sorting out some bits (it's partly Ebizeds fault!!)
EvansJD2112
A little update today... I wasn't happy with the way the Hertz speakers looked in the rear After some Googling, stumbled on a pair of Hertz grilles Much better and with the mesh fitted Not sure if I prefer with or without the mesh... AliveBoy
Personally I'd say forget the mesh, it looks smart without

EvansJD2112
nice install dude! was the head unit and ariel hard to fit? Headunit was no more difficult than anyother; I just followed the excellent guide on here. I tried several different types of DAB aerials before giving up and going for a body mount. Once you remove the plastic trim in the boot, it was dead easy to unscrew the oem one and replace with the DAB Just one word of warning! If you have a factory fit SatNav, TMC uses the FM aerial to work. Took me a couple of weeks to realise why I no longer got traffic info! I went with the only one I could find that allowed full angle adjustment. http://www.dabonwheels.co.uk/Kinetic_DBA-5001_DAB_car_aerial.html
