Zed devil
Does anyone have a guide on replacing the gearbox oil? Easy to do? Also recommendations on oil? Alongside some molyslip. Thanks
Vlad
Very easy to do! Took me 10mins(car was on the ramp) there are 2 plugs...one at the bottom - drain plug(use it to drain oil out) and one on the side in the middle- use that to put oil in...I bought an oil pump to make it easier, something like this http://bit.ly/1ebPV9o
Vlad
And people reccomend Nissan genuine oil with molyslip! I've used different oil (can't remember which, was recommended by opie oils) and used molyslip as well and it's all working fine!
Jp606
Only use genuine Nissan oil and adding Molyslip makes a big difference. Extremely easy to do. Remove FILL plug first (if you drain all fluid and can't remove fill plug then you will be stuck!) remove drain plug and drain all fluid out and simply replace plug and refill until it overflows. You need a 10mm hex for both. Gearbox takes 2.9L of fluid and 1 tube of Molyslip. Torque plugs to 34.5 Nm. Get yourself a oil syringe for filling as it will make it a lot easier. Might as well do the rear diff whilst you are there, exactly the same process as gearbox and also use genuine Nissan oil again. Torque values also the same. Ewen@Clark Motorsport
As has been said the genuine Nissan oil is the best especially when combined with an additive we have both in stock along with Molyslip available for next day delivery.
