aidan
Recently bought a ipod connector of a fellow forum member (cheers flameZ - appreciated). Now as I'm bored with nothing to do (stuck on a ship!!!), I've been goggling the whole Bose HUs for 350z. Seems there is many vesrions, for differing markets. As a few forum members may have UK units lying around, appreciate if they could check the back connections slots. US seem to have four slots, while UK seem to have three (and an additional heat sink). However reckon the may be other variants - sat nav connections etc. Hers a couple of pics. aidan
flameZ - just realized even if it doesn't fit in the 350z, I can use it in the wife's Pathfinder.....so all good. Cheers
un1eash
The top 2 are for speakers and power. Bottom left is for sat nav and the bottom right is us spec for external CD changer or sat radio.

aidan
Cheers mate, yep confirms (sort off) that the standard UK cars had three connection ports, while the US had four. But still strange why some uk cars seem to have four? Maybe nissan sun out of stereos....maybe the cars fitted with satnav had uk spec stereos, or maybe certain years had four ports? techinstaller
Hi not wishing to hijack the post but can you confirm the front and rear pictures shown above are for a face lift uk bose unit as i need to see if the wiring plugs are the same as for the pre facelift ,as i have all the parts for a full center console change to the later type but have quickly realised the stereo also is slightly shaped differently and dosent fit the later center console,so am looking to try and find a face lift bose to complete the upgrade ,Am also thinking i will have an issue with the NATS system and stereo code but i assume that can be overcome ?,or will i be the first to attempt that particular stereo swap. I do realise the alternative is to facia plate and aftermarket HU but i am OCD type and am determined to keep it OEM fit audio Any help greatly appriciated
