glrnet
It's time for mrs glrnet to change her company car, she currently has an Audi A3 3 door and has to carry quite a lot of bulky samples for work which often means boxes end up on the back seat and are difficult to lift out of the car with only 3 doors. During her recent trips to Canada she has had various larger SUV/Crossover/4WD vehicles and consequently enjoys the additional vision offered by sitting a bit higher than in the Audi and the additional space. There are a number of vehicles under consideration including Audi A3 5 door but we wondered if anyone here has a Qashqai and what you think about it's "repmobile" qualities? She'll probably do 20/25k miles PA and it needs to be diesel and maybe auto too. Any constructive advice much appreciated.
coldel
Didn't Will have one for a few days? My Dad bought one when Alfie was born (he even relaid his driveway to stop Rebecca accidentally stumbling when she gets out the car with Alfie!), just wanted a reliable car which is super practical and safe with him in the back. He's a car mechanic and he loves it, he went for the petrol version as purchase price is substantially cheaper but he loves it and is not easily impressed with cars. DoogyRev
The Nissan squashfly's are pretty nice, I took one for a test drive last year. There are so many SUV's to choose from (well over here). My in-laws have a Kia Sorrento thing and I have to say its well built, comfortable and with the 3.8 V6 goes well too. I also like the Ford Edge . . but you cant get them in the UK
Will370z
I had one for two weeks while rosie was in having a few nips and tucks. I have to say i loved it, the looks the drive the panoramic roof. Very comfy seats, nice elevated position and a crisp gear change. It had cameras galore, even one that simulates an above the car view. If i had the spare cash and was looking to get a roomy car for economical travel i'd definitely get one. Keep lookingon autotrader to see if a bargain comes up. Petrol engines are way too thirsty though as the mpg was only slightly better than the zed and im told the auto is very sluggish. I hear a new QQ is coming soon so prices of the current model are expected to drop when that comes out.
Bems
Better than an A3 sportback which I used to have. More practical, more reliable and easier on the wallet.
