Zed devil
Hi My friend recently bought a 350z with hfc berks. It makes a really noisey rattling sound between 1000 and 2000 rpm. Doesn't do it whilst stationary. He took it to a garage and they said that there should be a brace connected the 2 HFCs and may be causing the rattling. All other fixings are solid and nothing touching metal parts. I thought that HFCs were a lot lighter than stock cats and shouldn't cause a problem without the brace. Does that sound the likely cause for the rattling? If so, where can they be purchased or where can you buy some metal bar to make your own? Humpy
I don't have the brace on mine either. The rattling noise is probably the Berks themselves Which you either love or hate.

It's not just a small rattling noise though, it sounds horrendous and can be heard from quite a distance.

Zed devil
Borrowed my brace to see if that was the cause and the noise is still there. The Y pipe is a Stillen one with no flexi's, could that be the cause? Edited September 29, 2013 by Zed devil
