J4CKO
I have spotted a few Double din Android type headunits on Ebay, they dont seem that expensive, is this because they are rubbish, I emailed a car audio place and the reply was, "the problem with your car is the Bose amplified system this requires special adaptors to allow a new sysetms to be fitted to the car these can cost upto £150." Is this correct, £150 just to wire it into the car, I was thinking I could spend perhaps £300 on a head unit and perhaps £100 to get it fitted, fitting, new bezel, wires etc. Not after improving the sound quality (yet) as relative to my previous car it is a lot better, but want to improve the functionality so I can use memory cards, video capability, have bluetooth and possibly GPS. The car audio guy went on to suggest I would need to spend £1200 or more and I am not about to do that, £500, preferably less is my budget. spursmaddave
You will need a loom and adapter if you want to keep the steering controls, even including a fascia it would be well under £100 You are right about the Android HU's being crap though, far better off with a decent brand, just go for last years model and you will get a bargain

delz0r
I'd recommend you stay clear of android head units. Generally they are buggy and crap. A guy I work with has a rather expensive one(500 Euro) and its like using a cheap Chinese copy android tablet.
EvansJD2112
The only android HU I would even remotely consider would be a Parrot one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Parrot-ASTEROID-Smart-Navigation-Multimedia/dp/B00BGBO1ZC But, for that price you would get a descent branded HU
