andysmee
Hi, I'm just selling up after 7 years of owning and modifying an RX-7 (and moderating for the UK club) and I'm thinking that a 350Z is the best replacement for the mix of power and price that I'm used to. I'm interested in any modified Z's that might be lurking and not up for sale. My old car is on ebay is you want to get an understanding of the amount of modification I'm used to! search for 1992 RX-7 sold by andysmee Hoping to find something interesting and get back on the road quickly, for trackdays, the Ring and roadtrips generally. I'm based in Reading but travel the M4 every day. Cheers, Andy

evilscorp
What happened to the front bumper? why switch from black to red? Also surly a new battery would help it sell a lot quicker? As for Z's DarrenB's is the one I would have... but its pricey.

It's going to be broken for parts anyway, now.

andysmee
Is this one modified enough? http://www.350z-uk.c...sale-huge-spec/ Sadly I don't like the look of it, and it's about 10k over budget, but a nice idea nonetheless

Wasso
Go for the first one. Better re-sale. The second one is a pile of tat. He doesn't even know which car he owns, marking as 2009 model yet 2003. Oh and no way does it have 330bhp. So he's a dreamer. Knock 2k off and it may be at fair price. andysmee
don't worry, i'll want to see recent power graphs and have a drive before i decide whether the bhp is as stated. my car's been from 280 rwhp up to 400 bhp in pub figures, so what's in the ad has to be there on the road before i buy it. I do like the Nismo kit on the GT4, which version is it, anyone?

The year will be determined by autotrader because its an import - it'll be a 2003 imported in 2009. I don't think it looks too bad - BHP is dreaming and the price is about a grand or 2 thick but I don't reckon thats a bad car considering the mods and a new clutch in the mix. I don't think it looks too bad - BHP is dreaming and the price is about a grand or 2 thick but I don't reckon thats a bad car considering the mods and a new clutch in the mix. So, yes, it turns out that it was imported in 2009. The guy has read the mileage off his dash so it has done a lot less than the 77k he stated as it was converted to mph on import. As for the power, he has no evidence of the power but reckons it's between 315 and 330 as it's quicker off the mark than a friend's car, but the only mod is an induction kit and what sounds like a D1 throttle controller. The thing is, it's not clear why it would be the 300bhp engine in the first place so the power sounds a complete work of fiction (the woman that sold it to him told him it was 330bhp). And, finally on price, just a couple of hundred reduction, so not really playing ball.
andysmee
lol...and I guess the kit is a copy too? It could still be a good buy at the right price with the new clutch and flywheel. The GT4 special looks nice, but miles away to go see!
samsniss350z
The matte black one was advertised on Piston heads a couple of weeks ago and I agree with Wasso, the power is a work of fiction, it doesn't have a full Nismo bodykit and I've never seen a Zed with electric rear windows!!! You'll really enjoy the torque of the zed after your 7. Not sure if you're aware that there is a rarity value with the GT4's as only 176 were sold in this country (they all have numbered plaques), hence the extra £2k on the price. Good luck with your search.
