timb2010
Bit of an impulse buy today.... Bought a used scorpion back system and a y-pipe that looks like maybe a JapSpeed unit? I will spend a good while polishing it back to full beauty Do you think £200 is a fair price for these two guys? Is there anything I should be looking out for or wary of? Cant stop buying things for the Zed.... Edited September 14, 2013 by timb2010
KyleR
Cants be a japspeed Y pipe, it's still in one piece Looks like a cobra maybe, but I can't remember if it connects the 2 banks up at the top or the bottom like that one. Good buys for £
WhackyWill
Japspeed do not have a very good name on here, and £200 for a second hand Japspeed is way over..
MITZ@CougarStore
That's not a bad purchase for both parts as used items, make sure you use new gaskets when fitting...

timb2010
hey willie, I got a scorpion back box for that £200 too. The y-pipe I kind of counted as a bonus! thanks for the replies all, I guess im hoping it ISNT a japspeed now hehe cant find any y-pipes like it on google images with that triangle shaped support bracket. I wonder what it is? The thing is, I don't even need a new bloomin exhaust!!!

timb2010
oh god don't say that mate!!! Surely it has to fit doesn't it? they all come out of the same factory. Would you try and fit it yourself or take it to somewhere that can easily fit it or MAKE IT FIT if it doesn't?? here is where I hear of all the extra money needed lol
Tarmac@TarmacSportz
It will fit bud. The scorpion will last you well, they are the best built budget system going If you get a year or more out the Ypipe then that's a bonus, good hunting
Jp606
Good exhaust, good price too! i'd be happy. Unsure about the Y-pipe though.
mouthwash
Y pipe looks identical to my Cobra one?
drginger
I'm pretty sure the cobra y pipe's joins nearer the top, probably a jap, mine lasted 2 years so not too bad..
timb2010
I've been looking at the JapSpeed. They have weld spots / dots around the flexihose welds. Also has a logo. This one doesn't. The only one I can find that looks exactly like it is a stupidly overpriced one on eBay for about 1k!! http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=390514890458 Edited September 15, 2013 by timb2010
Jp606
Yeah it's not a Cobra like you say, joins are in a different place. Edited September 15, 2013 by Jp606
downhuman
Try polishing it up nicely, then treat the Y Pipe with a decent metal sealant- or FK100P Layer in on a few times and it should resist salt and water much better
timb2010
Thanks buddy, but won't both items be stainless steel? = no rusty?
Arran
That looks like a cobra y pipe to me
