nixy
I was chatting to someone on another site who had a 'car bra' on their mini cooper. Not one of those hideous things that looks like you've wrapped your car in black tape but a clear product by 3m Scotchguard which actually looks really good. It's a clear film that you can barely see which you can wax over and it protects your paint from stone chips etc. Does anyone have it and is it any good? Here's the link: http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/e ... cotchgard/

Guest prescience
To be fair to the old boy (Val); I believe I am right in saying he has nothing but Paintshield on his front end. Furthermore, he 'might' claim to be one of the first full 'bonneters' Tough to catch him out on paucity (or is it )
Removed
Paintshield all the way Nixy. www.paintshield.co.uk Tom is no.1 for customer service, I've had all sorts done by his boys (and girl) including, 2 front bumpers, 1 front lip and one full bonnet (first in the world on a Z )
nixy
That's actually exactly what I meant - it's by 3M. Don't know if I posted a link to something similar and not what I meant - but proably did knowing me!
Removed
yup that's the one: they even link to both Armourfend and Paintshield from the 3m Site. IMHO Painshield is the Uk choice due to Tom's fantastic customer service (and club discount! )
sl114
Did you get a stone chip on your bonnet Val? Or is it the OE bonnet that was protected and not the carbon one?
Removed
major stone chip on my V3 bonnet, no protection on it. No stonechips whatsoever on oem bonnet, V1 bumper and std bumper
