mbw100
In my ultra oil level paranoia I've over filled the car by 10-12mm. Is this going to cause the car major grief? Oil pressure gauge maxes out on start. Once hot idles at a tad over by 30psi. But when accelerating hard to over 3000rpm maxes out again. Thinking I should probably get some drained! Thoughts? Neilp
Easy to drain a little from the sump. Better safe than sorry imo
HmmBen
Yeah just drain it via the sump plug. How much did you put in??
Ekona
10mm on the stick is a lot, like around half a litre-ish. Definitely drain it, and don't drive it hard until you do (pootling around under 3k rpm should be fine).

gillywig2
After reading about the damage it could do on tinternet, I had to drain approx. 1l of oil from my Dad's Focus last weekend. . He had topped up with a full 2l can! .
HmmBen
Exactly Ekona. Usually min-max is 1 litre. So 10mm or so of that is at least half a litre. Definately dont drive it hard.
