JJ350Z
Hi As a new member I wondered if any-one could help me with an issue with the standard Nissan stereo in my soon to be purchased 350Z. Some of the buttons have stopped working on the head unit, ie the pre selector numbers 1-6, and the cd skip track button. I can select preselected stations from the steering wheel ok and CD ok its just on the head unit. Can anyone help? Thanks
buster
imo the best option is to remove it and bin it. .....and then replace with a aftermarket item.I am sure if you use the search button it will help you some what. with a new unit and the correct loom adaptors you ll be able to retain the steering wheel controls as well. JJ350Z
That's a shame I was kinda keen to keep it
The Bounty Bar Kid
Can't the garage sort it out for you before you buy?
M13KYF
why not go back to tradelink seeing as you have only just bought it from them and get them to sort it
buster
you maybe able to have it repaired....if its the bose unit it is coded to the ecu so not a case of just buying a second hand unit unfortunatly..i replaced mine with an aftermarket unit and kept the o/e just in case i sell up. to be honest the o/e unit is very dated.a good doudle din unit fitted correctly looks and sound alot better. AliveBoy
I don't know what it's worth or if it needs to be re-coded or anything, but I have a bose zed headunit at home that you could try as an option?
