Jp606
I have access to a GoPro Hero 3 which I'll be using for track days inside the car and occasional scenic driving and was wondering what the best way to mount it in the Z is and where? I've seen the suction cup mounts, but I've read that some tracks don't permit suction cup camera mounts. The other option would be the sticky pad mounts, but it will likely leave a sticky mess behind. How have you guys mounted yours?
Ekona
Suction cup for me + either duct tape or cable ties depending on the track and TDO, or I also have a rollbar mount that I attach to various things like rear view mirrors, half wound down windows, anything really. Jp606
Are they alright at the tracks if you use duct tape + suction cup? I think it was Silverstone that said it no suction cups.
Ekona
Yeah, some can be a bit picky. If you have a decent cup (NOT the official one, but the original one that Dogcamsport sell) you should be okay, but basically what they're looking for is a secondary method of attachment if the suction fails. I've seen duct tape used on a 2-11 at Spa with BaT.
