bpmjames
Hi guys with all the hot weather we've been having its nice to open the Windows and lock the car. Only problem is when I do this the alarm goes off constantly. Any idea what would cause this? There is nothing in the car, bugs or the like. Arran
Wind will be causing the interior sensors to go off. apparently you can turn them off by a switch behind the passenger seat but ive never found such a switch
Stutopia
I read this on another thread, courtesy of cs2000, not tried it yet. "...stop the car, turn it off, turn then key to ON (so all the lights on the dash light up) and off 3 times, take out the key, get out and press the lock button. Car alarm will make a small chirp to warn you that its locked, but not secure as a window is down."

cs2000
Heh, there is no button, but that works, I do it all the time lately with the heat. Bloody leather seats ...
A9H-RX
It's a security thing. The alarm goes off if you leave the window open... What I tend to do is do the driver's window a couple inchs open, lock drivers door from passenger side, and leave passenger window enough for me to lock the passenger side door.. That way, windows open, car locked and no alarm going off..
