deankenny
So i have all sorts of issues at the moment, the latest being if i accelerate hard on a bone dry road, slip will flash Noise from underneath, think its because of a straight through y-pipe. Below is my fault codes the cars chucking out at the moment, what can you guys make of these, and how do i go about getting this sorted? Have you tried with the TCS off? see if this still happens? You mean tried driving it to see if it jerks in different direction or do the fault code, im not too great with cars, hence i pay everyone else to do my work lol
nowhereboy
My car Jerks and pulls and generally drives like crap with the traction control on whilst driving enthusiasticly. I thought that was normal to be honest. Its much better without the traction control on.

Dblock
All P0xxx codes are generic. All P1xxx etc are car specific.
Dblock
Also single spark plug per cylinder.

Tackleberry
Had the same codes recently. Faulty coil. Replaced coils and spark plugs problem solved. That was a misfire and vcd and slip light lit up with CEL. Thats a stab in the dark though.
deankenny
but the car doesnt feel like its misfiring, it drives perfect UNTIL the vdc and slip lights come on, then it sounds like its stuttering. rtbiscuit
could be the battery if its got the old JDM battery they are tiny and useless, swap to a good UK battery if the JAp is dying and might solve your issues.
rtbiscuit
as for the missfire its most likley just a spark plu thats on its way out. go and see the boys at the zed shed they'll rule out the obvious for you, no need to go and panic sell the car, sounds like small fry issues with easy solutions. Dblock
but the car doesnt feel like its misfiring, it drives perfect UNTIL the vdc and slip lights come on, then it sounds like its stuttering. Lol so if it's stuttering it does sound like its misfiring. I had a similar problem. My car would start fine etc and then it would misfire when hot. Changed out one coil pack at a time let the car heat up etc. when it stopped doing it job done.
buster
if I remember correctly it had 275/30/19 tyres fitted to the rear by the previous owner.they were brand new at the time you bought it but if they are close to the limit this will be enough to make the slip light cut in.(rears now having less circumference then require in keep with the fronts)..my first stop would be to replace rear tyres for 275/35/19 thus in keeping with the o/e specs..i am 100% sure you had 245/35/19 fitted to the front so there be fine.if I am right the rears will becausing your problems. scobie140
Might not solve the issue as the profile is lower than it should be to keep it to original circumference spec, 275/35/19 should be fitted like buster said.
buster
Just had 2 new rear tires on Saturday, the ones fitted now are 275/30/19 we try clearing the ecu memory and see what happens........but like I said 275/35/19 should be on the rear.
