RDON
the board is made out of two 10mm think black plastic foam board that is used on sign boards, so its strong but lighter than wood. I have edged it with 2mm think rubber foam so it fits nice and snug wont mark the plastic.

RDON
can you bolt a st/st one onto aluminium, they have different expansion tolerances? if you can get me one to copy I can have a go!

rtbiscuit
Am jealous, my laser cutter only does plastic and woods, or etch glass.
RDON
its difficult to control the laser cut on ally on a 4kw laser so i avoid it like the plague lol...

You could possibly get away with it since the plenum is low pressure but I wouldn't recommend it, plus if the stainless expands quicker than the bolts then could end up cracking the plenum or stretching the bolts. But lots of different factors are involved so countless things could happen.
