Cozzi
Hi all, As i have now started spending the pennies on the latest project, I thought it would be a good time to start the build thread.... I bought the car a few months ago, Import 03 plate, Base model im assuming. The main aim due to the amount of miles I cover in my cars, is to make it a fast road set up suitable for trackdays. The car had the following when I bought it, so I cant take credit for those, but meant it was a nice base to start with. Mishimoto oil cooler and thermostatic plate, Mishimoto Radiator and Twin Fans Mishimoto (i think) Cooling Plate HSD Monopro Coilovers JWC Pop Charger Fully Adjustable suspension arms front and rear BBS RS-GT Replica Wheels. Nismo Style Front Splitter Cobra Y Pipe Japspeed K1 The first item on the list were the Brakes, after a few encounters with the dreaded FADE, I managed to get a set of calipers quite cheap, and bought the other components as they came about Split them down and painted (more to follow on those) Full set of Black Diamond Discs, HEL Lines and DS2500 pads. After this came the Plenum Spacer, and little paint and clean while I was at it. On the list of things to do... Fit brakes :/ lol I have on order a Set of COMPOMOTIVE alloys, a friend of a friend is the owner of the company 18x10 rears et1 18x9 Fronts et14 Change the Y-pipe and K1 for a Invidia Gemini, and then get it Uprev'd and tuned. After this all are options and maybes, such as a VLSD from the UK models. More research needed though, and possibly seats and harnesses Edited August 27, 2013 by Cozzi

hensh65
Im led to believe not, whats it normally set at? lol Led to believe hope that was safely led to believe :lol I thought all jap imports came with 112mph limit on it however my mate has a jdm 350 and his limit is 120mph
Cozzi
I have taken it to around 120mph (on the speedo) so im not sure to be honest. lol
mattross1313
Good work so far mate, should be great once finished Also, 120mph on the speedo more than likely is 112mph in reality. what with possible tyre size differences, and the speedo's usually read high anyway. Cozzi
All new bleed nipples, retainer clips, hoses, pins, and pads all ready to go on, then get them fitted. I may be having a set of Takata Harnesses in the very near future, at which point these may have to change color to Takata Green before they get fitted :/ And an example photo of the 10J Rear wheels, currently being cast I have been informed. Cozzi
After a good hard day graft on the Zed, I have the the brakes on, The new UK VLSD on and the Invidia Exhaust on. The brakes are still bedding in, but working great, the exhaust note is immense, the differnce between that and the K1 is light night a day, alot quieter and deeper! And the VLSD is great and locks, which is what im used to driving so im much much happier! The diff and Exhaiust Off lol. The New diff had Poly Bushes Also a photo of the wheels which i didnt get get chance to swap the tyres onto and get fitted unfortunatly. A Set of Forged Volk Racing CV Pro's 9J all round et25. Should be a good choice of wheel being made by Rays, forged and slightly wider and lower offset etc These will be on this weekend all being well! Wing mirrors painted black, along with the plastic bases, and carbon wing mirror covers fitted. I may space the Rear wheels out 25mm to give it a flush fitment. didnt look forward to making the first cut lol. Trip to TDI North for the UpRev and Remap, Now running 293bhp. Not bad for the age and miles. Added a hint of blue flake, shows nice in direct sunlight.
