timb2010
Sorry for all these questions, ive tried to search for answers and look at other cars etc... Ive taken pictures of each question, would anyone please be kind enough to have a look? 1) I have chrome edges on my tips on my front bumper - Are these OEM? Maybe an option? (http://img716.images...6/8692/cp33.jpg) THEY ARE NOT OEM, ADDED AFTER 2) In the storage box in the middle I have what looks like an iPhone or iPod dock, is this OEM? Would this allow the steering wheel controls allow calls etc? Does it show connected on the radio or anywhere etc? (http://imageshack.us...ge/202/ha4y.jpg) THIS IS AN OLD IPOD KIT THAT INTERCEPTS THE RADIO AERIAL - TUNE IN RADIO TO HEAR IPOD 3) I pulled out the dock and underneath I found 2 unconnected plugs? What are these for please? (As above) THESE WIRES ARE FOR THE OEM PHONE KIT THAT HAS BEEN REMOVED 4) Under the Passenger and drivers side of the dash there are no covers, I can literally see all the wiring etc, surely this isn't normal? (http://img17.imagesh...7/2294/1umu.jpg) APARENTLY THERE ARENT UNDER DASH COVERS - EVEN THOUGH THERE APPEARS TO BE CLIPS?? (CAN AONYONE CONFIRM?) 5) What is the large box just above and the width of the rear view mirror? I would guess alarm but why so big? (http://imageshack.us...7/8595/6ry1.jpg) OEM MICROPHONE NOT THE ALARM SENSOR 6) I have a really nasty rattle coming from what appears to the be the top of the middle of the dash about the clocks . Is this common, can anyone please suggest something to check? Will I need to strip things out !!! It only happens at about 4k-5k on the revs Ive tried pressing everything down but it doesn't stop, are there things underneath that may be causing this? (http://img855.images...5/8070/5fjw.jpg) STRIPPED DOWN THE CLOCKS EVERYTHING SEEMS FINE - POSSIBLY ITS THE BATTERY COVER SURROUND AS IT IS LOOSE MISSING PLUGS/FIXERS 7) I have two buttons on the wheel that appear to do nothing? They are for the phone kit, what are they linked to? The stereo or some other oem kit? Is this Bluetooth or need that above cradle? (http://img822.images...2/9914/tk48.jpg) TO USE THESE I NEED TO BUY THE OEM BLUETOOTH ADD-ON THAT FITS INSIDE THE OEM PHONE KIT (REMOVED FROM MY CAR) Edited August 18, 2013 by timb2010
peteman35
1) Yes 2) you need a adapter for it to work 3) pictures don't work 4) normal. 5) ask Nissan why? 6) usually inside clocks 7) you answere your own question, they are for the phone kit one answers calls, one is for telling it what to do. timb2010
Great thank you! So if I buy an adaptor (q2) I can Bluetooth my phone up and use the buttons on the wheel. That's great. Do you please know the adaptor kit name? Images fixed.. When you say inside the clocks, actually something loose inside one of the smaller dials? Or the whole lot as a unit is loose? Thanks again? JetSet
1) I have chrome edges on my tips on my front bumper - Are these OEM? Maybe an option? (http://img716.images...6/8692/cp33.jpg) Pretty sure they're aftermarket rather than an option. Pete

WhackyWill
Hi TimB. Just sent you a PM as I have a Bluetooth adapter in for sale. Yes the chrome strips are aftermarket.
zroar
The led that blinks for the alarm rattled for me. Took ages to figure that was the cause. Place a finger on it to see if the rattling stops. Wedge sonething in to stop it, a tiny bit of black plastic did mine.
