I have the same wheels and the same problem. Everyone says powdercoat for durability but fact is they will look nowhere as good as a refurb to as was out the factory. Problem being that the later would require a bit more upkeep!

Well I can vouch for The Wheel Specialist. They have centres all over the country and if you say that you know somone from the forum who went to the Westerhope branch and got a full set of 19s done for £360 with a courtesy car then I'm sure they will price match. That's same day service too.

Great!! Thanks for the referral!! I'm presuming they did a good job too!!?

I'm gonna check out their website.

Good that you get a courtesy car too as I was 'worrying' about that!!

I got exactly what I asked for and they balanced the wheels too. The one I went to has a contract with the Jaguar garage for any wheel colour changes. I got mine in a satin anthracite finish and they are like a completely new set of wheels. They basically dip them in acid, shot blast, paint, bake, re-tyre (or even put new tyres on if you have a set) and balance them.

They can diamond cut them as well if you need it.

Overall the finish is like what you would expect on a brand new set of wheels.

Check my thread out for a few photos and examples of the work.

Yours would look miles better in an anthracite finish man! It's all a matter of opinion when it comes to colour choice though, just because one person likes the standard silver that you see on pretty much any car with alloy wheels doesn't mean that it is your taste.

I had a set of my OEM's re-done on my S2000.

They were my old track wheels that I had done 'Spoon Blue' but I liked the look of them so much I used them fro my dailys and get them refurbished again.

After about 6 months they did start to flake in very small areas, whether this was down to poor prep, further high track temps or just the fact it was a poor job I'm not sure.

If I was to get 370Z Ray's done, I'd probably go powdercoat route.

The refurb was a good finish though.

If this was to happen at TWS you could get it sorted for free as it's a 12 month guarantee....

The wheelspecialist East Grinstead produce excellent results and have a great reputation. I have also seen some of their work first hand. They will need your car for the day. You could drop it over later afternoon, i could run you home as i work in EG and then take you back the next morning. The wheelspecialists have branches around the UK.Check the website out.

See you Wednesday.
