nowhereboy
I got my side repeater light in the post today thanks to ZMANALEX. As usual with anything car related I'm struggling to get it to fit. This proves how utterly useless I am when it comes to doing any work myself. Anyway, I managed to get the old one out easy enough, but the new one just won't go in! Its such a tight fit and the clips are very sturdy so once you push one side in flush the other side won't go in. I don't want to be too forceful and damage the paint work or end up dinting the body etc. Help?
ZMANALEX
Very strange mate: Perhaps if you carefully enlarge the oblong hole in the front wing slighly with a flat file then that will do the trick, however this really should not be required. Keyser
Hi...May seem a novice question, how do you remove repeaters ? Cheers JohnUKVEtteNut You can take the wing off - easy to get to then or A credit card or simlar (I Use the soft plastic scrapers that you get for car filler) slide it in from the front (IIRC) it will push the clip in and the repeater pops out. If they are really tight a long thin flat blade screwdriver - but watch the paint doing that! In fact be careful of the paint whichever way you do it Edited August 10, 2013 by Keyser
