rmmackfc Posted May 25, 2007 Share Posted May 25, 2007 Guys, I planning on going down to Cambridge to one of my mates in August and was going to stop off in York for a few nights. Can anyboy recommend any hotels in the region that don't cost a fortune (want to save money as we're going to Newmarket races) but are equally not cheap and nasty. It's hard for me to recommend hotels as I don't actually stay in any of them but there's lots of typical type places on the outskirts i.e holiday inns etc. The Monkbar hotel is nice and has parking and is a a short walk from town centre and not far from lots of nice italian restaurants and minster.
