Neilp
That is awesome. Do you put socks over the throttle bodies when on the road to protect from any debris getting into the engine?
ColinS
I love ITBs so much. That red z sounds soooo good.
R35LEE
Looks and sounds awesome but a lot of grief, I would rather have a supercharger
Lacky
I would love ITB's on my zed. Sounds amazing.
grahamc
after looking at every ITB option on the market we decided to make our own setup for the vq35, hopefully we will get these installed in a road Z with a plug and play ecu setup some time before spring! In for the updates!!! Reason I ask is ive got itbs on my ae86. They didnt make much extra power but the throttle response is amazing and made the power alot more usable. I like NA power so wouldn't want to go FI Interesting, as I want to keep my zed NA.... what other mods (exhaust, manifolds, cams)? What sort of power once all added (exhaust, manifold, cams, ITBs, ecu)?
stichy
Hard to say. There are so few itb zeds out there.
grahamc
Hard to say. There are so few itb zeds out there. I did find this kit http://www.jenvey.co...d-horns-cknn02c Note the curved horns to fit under the bonnet Im very tempted, but rather nervous as well - already have 1 expensive car, dont need another.... thoughts are:- exhaust manifolds itbs cams ecu Would make one hell of a noise Edited January 3, 2014 by grahamc
stichy
There is a kit in the US for about £800. The got the curved horns so it all fits under the bonnet. And it looks the same kits as on the red on the last page.

Mark@Abbey m/s
TB are good for power but bad to fit and set up on a 350Z 1, stock ECU wont run a car with ITB 2, servo vacuum are low 3, unless you use a ECU that runs DBW your need to fit a throttle cable/set up 4, fitment under the bonnet if you run a air box (which is a must for road car) just fir a SC or a cheaper turbo kit which we are developing Alloy cam covers , just use the Nissan Pathfinder Stock Alloy covers , off the shelf part. Well, need to get you to dyno the 350z, so may as well have a chat then just looking for something different. No point SC/TC the 350z, I have the GTR for POWER Only want 300-350bhp from the 350z Edited January 4, 2014 by grahamc
@well
Different strokes for different folks, throttle bodies suit our application and engine spec, boosting is easy, buy bits from America and bolt them on, tried and tested! I’d steer clear of the ebay ITB’s they are a rather inferior rip off of the Jenvey design. As for cast pathfinder covers, been there done that! They were only made for 2 years for the American market and are now as rear as hens teeth, even hard work getting them off the shelf as they have been replaced by the plastic ones. It’s also worth noting that the coil packs are different for these and the breathers are in different locations, so not an easy swap at all, hence our investment in casting replacements. All this talk of hard work setting up itb's is a little perplexing, guess it’s down to knowing the right people for the job!
