mattfinch
Hi all Just wondering if this happens to any one else. Every now and then I start my drive and about 2mins in the in car heater blowers blast air out at speed for about 10sec then turn off. Anyone know if this is a normal thing, only been doing it when the weather has been hot did not know if its the car telling me it wants the air con on lol. Thanks
theheff
Have you had the centre console out at all recently. Pull the gear stick surround up and pull it out a little. You may find that the ribon cable has come loose from the heater controls.
mattfinch
Yes I had it all out when I changed my head unit. Was very hard/tight to get it all back in so may be something to do with that then. But that was months ago and this has only started doing this over the last few weeks. Pnthrblkzs
Is the heater dial set to auto, could just be adjusting the temperature as and when required? If not, when i changed my headunit i forgot 1st time to plug back in the heater ribbon and the blowers went a bit crazy when i started the car, so worth checking that ribbon
mattfinch
Everything is set to off. I think I will have to take a look at the ribbon see if its come a bit loose. Cheers for the help
