modd1uk
Asking this question not for me but for a friend that runs 350 rays on his S15. The rear tyre sidewall is a little tall for his S15 as he wants to drop the car on coilovers. What size tyres can you fit to the rear 8.5" rays rim ? KyleR
The S15 doesn't have traction control so he can stick whatever he likes on there. But if the current tyres are standard zed sizes he should drop the profile of both front and rear or it'll look odd and should fit. A 40 series tyre will have roughly a 12.5mm smaller sidewall. modd1uk
Yeah no traction control on that S15, scary in the wet apparently. The rear sidewall is quite a bit bigger than the front which is why he is thinking he can drop the sidewall height on the rear and it will still look ok. brillomaster
just drop the profile of the rears to 245/40 18s and that'll be fine - only 3mm less sidewall than the fronts running 225/45, so will look even. most staggered sizes have a lower profile at the back to compensate for a wider tyre but keep the side sidewall height as the front
Ekona
What are the standard wheel and tyre sizes on the S15? That will determine what he needs to stop the car looking odd or giving dodgy speedo readings.
