PS13Silvia
If it is my old car, could you let me know the issue number please? I'd order a back issue if possible. Like to keep a memo of stuff like that :-)
longsh07
Yeah sure Redline went out of print a little while back but they are pretty active on facebook still. If you cant get one I could probably sort you out a scanned copy
longsh07
Ah I was mistaken, it was another silver CZ-T with a massive intercooler Edited November 11, 2013 by longsh07
PS13Silvia
Not really an update but I went along to the Pistonheads Breakfast meet at RAF Cosford last month, a friend of mine who also went sent me some snaps of my car, thought I'd add to my thread. The editing he's done makes it look cleaner than it actually was - might be time to update my signature! And a grubby Akrapovic - tut tut:
PS13Silvia
Small update My Evo is up at TRL having some work done (bigger turbo ) As the garage is vacant I squeezed the Zeds fat arse in there and did an oil & filter change. Very tight squeeze! New oil filter, sump washer, Datsun oil and a pair of new OEM air filters as my ones were very grubby – Thanks to H-Dev for these Also fitted some silver 'Z' badges from asad on here, easy to fit and look great imo, they match the door handles & rear '370Z' emblem nicely Ended up fitting these round my mates, which was a mistake... A Speedhunters tongue thing was placed on my car because it 'looks cool yo' (Honda speak) And then put the 2 OEM ones on my rear bumper for some strange reason... Moving on! I went to Japfest and on the drive back a friend got a couple snaps of my car cruising down the M5 which I think are pretty bad ass – think I'll need to update my signature with one of these! I had the Friday off work before Japfest & stayed at a friends place so my drive to Combe was 20 minutes instead of 3 hours. Friday afternoon we went over to Zealou5's workshop which is absolutely epic, fantastic cars in there I had a great time noseying about all their projects. One of which was this stunner - anyones on here? It was at Japfest the following day. Also, after spending 2 hours constantly driving at fairly high speed on motorways my exhaust got nice & hot, therefore a good bit louder too by the time I got back home, must admit, I rather liked it so am considering a pair of HFCs now
oldbonesmcgee
Hey I just read through your build thread now, awesome looking car (i might be biased though ) those rolling shots look amazing I bought my car when I was 22 as a "no longer a poor student" present to myself. For me it wasn't rapid Jap cars I had been driving it was hand-me-downs, a 1999 Clio, a fiesta and then a Saab 9-3 (which I actually loved). So I finally got the chance to buy a car all by myself and spent as much as I could possibly afford and got the 370z Having seen the mods you have done it seems we have similar taste, although I went for AAM short tails for maximum in your face V6 noise haha. Keep up the good work!
Suits
Hey man, quick question, what have you fixed the Takata strap too, the toeing point is on the other side of the grill ??
PS13Silvia
It's not actually fitted to the car Suits, literally just laid on to see how it looks. My Honda mates did it, they love it, Tegiwa tow hooks, Password JDM tow straps and such. The front of my car looks like - image taken from Japfest gallery:

The one they draped over your car is actually a proper one, a Takata 'Speed Hunters Edition' one, Password JDM is a quality one too, if you were going to get one they're the ones to get. However, I can't vouch for the Tegiwa one though . Good old Honda boys .
PS13Silvia
Yeah it's a genuine Speed Hunters one buddy, I'm just not a fan of the tow strap / hook thing on newer cars like ours is all. I'm a big Speed Hunters follower myself, on their site regularly & have a few things from their shop too, couple posters and tee's There's me slagging off the Honda Kids, I've been considering a '96 DC2 as a third car / toy recently
Suits
Yeah, SH stuff is great, a few of the lads have now got all of the books, which are all very, very cool. I've got a few tee's and stuff and had been hoping to get a toe strap for track days but they're always, always, sold out, . Yeah, I'm waiting for the EP3's to come under a £1000 then I'll maybe think about getting a mule to beat up on track. But saying that I'm having a lot of fun doing that in my 370Z at the minute, just a bit less of the beating, more trying to wrangle !! I ordered one if these lips 6 weeks ago then I got refunded my money cuz they had no stock. Jay from evo r is so hard to get hold of! All in all it took just over 3 weeks, however I got it sent to my mothers house where the import tax letter was thrown in the recycle, a week later when I chased them, bit of confusion on the phone but I paid import duties over the phone & it was delivered the next morning (Parcel Force) - assuming you receive the letter & pay on time unlike myself I'd guess less than 2 weeks. I went for all black FRP (I like the flat / matt black look over carbon) tax was £26, the lip & shipping came to £142. So not expensive at all. I found he replied to my emails very quickly? No complaints with the customer service from me... Car looks great fella. Manage to get any better shots of it side on ?? Those sills looks damn good. Cheers bud, I've only got 1 recent pic on my phone. It was walking back to my car thinking "dam that looks good, must take a picture"

PS13Silvia
Hahahaha, we both have great taste it seems A few snaps from my weekend at JAE (all of which have been Instagram'd by my mate) 'Arty farty' attempt here... One I got tagged in on Facebook And on the way home The Zed got a lot of attention & feedback at JAE, mine was the only 370Z there I think, got many compliments and spoke to some very nice people - from what I remember, spent the whole of the weekend wasted Edited September 19, 2014 by PS13Silvia
iiNNeX
Just had a read through this, bloody amazing mate. I am picking up a zed this upcoming week in the same colour, and so far love all of your mods, and especially the exhaust system. Just a quick question, if I was to go for the 25mm Spacers and the same spring kit you have, then where can I get a spacer for the fronts so I can get them even? (not a fan of nose dipped cars that much). Alternatively would 30mm TEIN S springs be too much of a drop with those spacers and cause rubbing? Thanks and hope to see your car sometime - iiNNeX
JoshC
Car looks lovely mate! How did you go about fitting the side blades? I've got a set ready to go on but not convinved I want them on after test fitting them! How do you find getting over speed bumps now with them on? Thanks and hope to see your car sometime - iiNNeX Thanks mate Yeah I did manage to get that Akrapovic for bit of a bargain really, was just a right place, right time sort of thing. To be honest I rarely see any other 370's about, let alone modified ones (for spring / exhaust comparisons). So for other spring manufacturers ride height I'm not sure how they compare. Maybe somebody else more clued up on the subject on here would be able to help you out better. I have left the nose dipped as do I like the look myself, but was more concerned with practicality & clearance issues but it's really been fine to live with so I've left it alone. To get anything made just find a decent shop who will fab something up for you. It might be at Japfest. I'm taking the Evo this year but if I can find somebody I trust and who's available to drive the Zed for me I'd love to have them both there for once. It's really just my work horse these days so it racks up the miles... Good luck with your new Zed buddy Car looks lovely mate! How did you go about fitting the side blades? I've got a set ready to go on but not convinved I want them on after test fitting them! How do you find getting over speed bumps now with them on? Cheers buddy, the screws they came with went straight in the bin because the heads on them were too small for the pre-drilled holes IIRC. So after grabbing some new screws we drilled more mounting holes, lined up & fitted as per. Off memory there was about 4-5 holes pre-drilled, mine are held on with at least a dozen bigger head screws each side. As for scraping I've only caught them twice so far, that **** take of a speed bump into JAE and a huge speed bump on some stupid single track road up to this mansion place where my cousin got married last year. That's also the only 2 times I've caught my exhaust too btw. Thinking about it, they've been caught more often by shoes getting in & out I see them, and my front splitter, as wheel spacers. Try them, if you're not happy you can take off with no damage to your car (bar some tiny screw holes underneath of course) then sell on - no biggy. Out of interest did you have them on before your splitter? I'm just wondering if the reason I dind't like them test fitted was becuase I need a splitter to balance it all out! I'm also thinking that as they are black, my wheels are grey and the door handles are silver, I think ti may bee too many colours going on the side But yeah I guess not much harm in trying them out, unless I snap them on a speed bump I guess!
