djr1
Hi, trying to sort my ac. The clutch won't kick in when ac is engaged. I've had the coolant levels checked, all ok. The compressor fuse is also ok. I've checked the wire going to the compressor, and theres no power. I suspect the pressure switch behind the bumper. It's got 3 pins - is there a way I can jumper it to prove the switch is causing it? Assuming its that, how on earth do I get to the switch itself!? Does anyone know if there is a valve behind the switch so I can swap it without having the system emptied? Thanks
tony.r123
No mate, it will require de-gasing to swap out the switch, there will be two switches either can stop the clutch engaging, one on the low and one on the high pressure side
ZMANALEX
New and preowned switches in stock if required. Alex.
djr1
Thanks. You mentioned that there are two switches - are they bith behind the bumper near the horn? Compressor clutch kicks in by jumping power straight to it, so if I can find a way to prove which switch it is I should be able to sort it out. Too hot for no AC atm!
