HaydnH
The straight pipe for the XYZ is only $89! http://www.motordyneengineering.com/index.php?cPath=2_10
Tarmac@TarmacSportz
Ok, you want to be sure as the HFC versions more expensive. Like I say I can get just a straight pipe if you want, I'm sure Ian wouldn't mind it if they put it in his exhaust box
HaydnH
Haydn is one..... There's probably about 5-7 on the forum I'd say. Actually I have 1 to sell! I'm not using it since I got the titanium exhaust.
smudgedon
Yup, mine's definately a HFC rather than a resonator And thanks for the link Haydn
CrustyCrab
Right I'm in on this one now rather than replying to your other thread Why straight through - You want it louder? I have the hfc version of XYZ and I think it's awesome! Do you have a friendly mot place?
smudgedon
Noise isn't the issue I'm loud enough as it is Just fancy a straight through system that's all And yes I have a friendly MOT'er
CrustyCrab
Do you definitely want a different y-pipe though? I have a straight section which I prob won't put back in cause I thought it sounded horrid when it was straight through. If you fancy I can stick it in mine and demo it for you but if you like it I'm sure we can sort something out.
CrustyCrab
Oh yeah.... It will be louder
Wasso
I don't mind Jordan sharing my box As long as they make sure it doesn't rattle around.
smudgedon
You saying you've got a straight through section for the XYZ? Hmmmm Ideally I want to sell the XYZ and buy another pipe so I have some spare cash for other bits though....
CrustyCrab
Indeed I do. Straight, not resonated. It's quite... Full-on sound though and was definitely too much for me. You know at 3k the hfc gives that nice bark/growl? The straight section is like death. Sounds phenomenal at idle and revving though Like I said I'm not sure if I want to sell it or not but you're welcome to listen or try it n yours if you haven't taken the XYZ out yet. Very easy to swap.

Just wait a little longer? How much is the Stillen then?

For what is essentially a bit of pipe, the Motordyne is just an expensive bit of scaffolding without the HFC Edited July 7, 2013 by smudgedon
Wasso
It may be expensive but very well made. Nismo's fail, especially the Y-pipe, so in fairness something made by an outside company that lasts, and I've never heard of a motordyne Zorst fail ever. The Motordyne ones for whatever reason are also proven on the dyno over the rest. Ok so its only a few ponies but this justifies its price in the market. Performance and Quality.

smudgedon
Is no one listening to me? I need cash for other bits, so might as well sell the Motordyne and replace with a cheaper straight through system
Arran
Save a month or so longer and keep the best y pipe you can get lol

Wasso
Ok say you sell the Motordyne for £300, new Y-pipe call it £200, plus fitting unless you do it yourself or have a local garage on the cheap. Either way call it £100....... Really?? Seems a bit illogical to me but its up to you.
