Macky
Hi guys, as title says I have a leak on my air con system. Garage attempted to refill it and told me that the condenser is leaking. I want to do the job myself and just need to confirm I'm going to be replacing the correct bit! The garage told me that the condenser is this large aluminium cylinder at the front of the rad...is this right? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Ekona
Condenser is the rad itself. You'll have two, one for the cooling for the engine and one for the air con system. That little tube is the accumulator/dryer (some people call it different things).
HaydnH
Mine's leaking as well, apparently there's a UV dye in it so if you use a UV light you can see the liquid... never looked myself but that's how Nissan tried to sell me a new condensor found the fault the other week. Macky
Ah okay! Thanks Ekona I shall just replace the whole rad to be safe then I think. HaydnH yeah they do put UV or luminous dye in it to make it easier to spot a leak
