sl114
So sorry to hear about this Digsy. I had some little cretin throw a handful of gravel at mine as I was driving past a couple of months ago A total of 21 small stone chips along the driver's door and rear wing was the result of that little tw@ts efforts. I didn't stop because I would now probably be facing a prison sentence.During the snow last year, i was driving my ex's 206 with the little one in the back and a little @*!# threw a snowball at the front windscreen with a stone in it, crached the windscreen and could have been a lot worse if i was at speed, especially with my girl in the back! Luckally there were 2 policemen walking down the road who caught the little @*!# and arrested him, i filed a case but nothing happened as he was only 12!!! No as it dragged on for so long i just gave up and sorted it out through insurance! I know i should have persisted, but i just dont trust people like this especially with a little girl in the house. M13KYF
gutted for you digsy. You could try chipsaway as a starter. They could come round and inspect the scratch. At least they is no charge for the inspection. Is it worth looking into seeing if you could hire a garage somewhere near by. At least it would be off the street on a night and may cheapen insurance
Digsy
Thanks for the messages of support guys. I was pretty down last night when I posted but I'm feeling a bit brighter and I'm going to call in the local Chipsaway guy to have a look. I'm hoping the big steamy birdshit in the middle of my bonnet yesterday evening was the third of three bits of bad luck, Dorian, but I think I'll drive home slowly tonight just in case. My cars are always getting damaged by them Sorry to hear about your car Digsy, dont let them get to you enough to sell it
Chesterfield
If the kids did that round here, Id sneak up alongside the fence and chuck a couple of housebricks over. They can go of crying to mummy and daddy, but daddy better be a big bugger if he plans on coming round and having words. Since the incident where I stabbed a football with a carving knife, the kids steer clear of our house - they even walk on the other side of the road. I assume they regard me as some psycopath Victor Meldrew type. Which is fine by me.
alscar
Digsy, I am not sure if chips away can repair such damage, isnt there a scuffsaway, or scratch-away? Im sure Ive seen a website for a company specialising in that, Ill have a look. I hope you get it sorted soon. Chips away can do it.. BUT after I have recently had some work done by them, I have to say, DONT DO IT!! It was a reallly poor job, and would you beleive when I complained I was told 'if you wanted a first class job, you shouldnt bring it to a bloke like me!' If you can get a real body shop on recomendation, its gotta be better. I'm tempted to pay to have mine done again!

If you make a stand round here you become a target for the local youth and the police won't be around to look after you.....
Stew
I am gutted for you Digsy. If the car needs the bodyshop then put it in with a treat or two to chear yourself up and make the expense count!
