Ekona
Match the fronts, or if you can replace all round with better. Depends on budget.

Ekona
are avon ok or cheap ? Depends on which Avonas really, but they wouldn't be my first choice. However, if you're happy with them then stick with them, as that's what you know. You dont have to. Well no sh*t Sherlock, thanks for the input Edited June 28, 2013 by Ekona

Just making sure they know that mixed tyres won't kill them.
Ekona
That's not what you said though, is it? You added a statement that gave no extra value to the conversation whatsoever. There's enough on here about mixed tyres for people to make up their own mind. It's not even me that brings it up any more, notice that? Mixed tyres won't kill you, they just make for a more unstable car. How you feel about running a performance car like that is up to the individual. Z-monster
Just put some Kuhmo KU39s on the back £120~ each from Tyre specialist. Totally worth it - ride is much better. Running some really shitty Falken 912s on the front (school boy error) which I'll be changing to the Kuhmos in about a week's time. Also, nitrogen inflation is a MUST. yankeesiter
Two years ago I put on a set of Vredstein Ultrac Sessantas which I have been happy with. Normally I'm quite a "grandpa" kind of driver but I just got back from the Alps, Route de Napoleon and Gorge du Verdon (the last two under the very moderating influence of the oh). I was surprised to find the rears are nearly bald and I certainly wasn't aware of smoking the tyres in the Alps and the traction control was always on. Fronts are still near perfect. Total mileage just under 20k on the set. Is this normal?

Fluke
What are the Kuhmo KU39s like? There doesn't seem much info about.
Dblock
What are the Kuhmo KU39s like? There doesn't seem much info about. I've never tried them personally but I've heard they are pretty good. As good as goodyear f1's or the higher end tyres I don't know but I'm sure they will be on par with the VUS,
gsexr
Running the KU19 on the back of mine but dont know it any different as they were new on it when i got it. Certainly seems ok to me apart from a fair bit of noise.
hensh65
What are the Kuhmo KU39s like? There doesn't seem much info about. Just replaced my RE050s on the front with the KU39' only went on yesterday morning and its been raining but they feel good, and at £108 per tyre, can't complain
maxi-glasgow
I would stick with the Avons, never thought of them before but I bought a set of GT4 alloys from member on here and they came fitted with Avons and I found them excellent. So I always replaced them with Avons when they ran out. About £115 a corner if memory serves me correct as well so quite cheap.
