nixy
My lad wants a weatherproof cover for his R6. He reckons you can get one which zips up around the bike. I can't find anything like this online. Can anyone recommend one? The bike will be stored at a friends farm over winter but as we don't have a garage it will have to be covered in the drive during summer so it needs to be a good one. Stew
I'm sure Tim will sell you one! If he can't I'm sure he'll know where to get one anyway!
Zedrush
so you gave in to your son riding his R6 lol. I think I know your son didnt he recently get his R6 derestricted?
nixy
Well actually, he's got his full bike test this afternoon so it only really applies if he passes it! I did have a 'word' about his bike and he said no problem Mum I'll have a restrictor put on it. Do I think he will? Yeah right!
lomoto
best ones to get are the Canvas one.. not the plastic type. I dont sell 'em.. you can get one off the internet cheaper than I can buy them trade
nixy
any brand/type I should be looking for?
TiN
Bah, you're about 2 weeks late - I just threw away a "bike barn" (http://www.thebikebarn.net/) when clearing out the shed of the house we're selling...but I'm not sure if it's really that suitable for a driveway anyway... Have you taken a peek at Hein Gericke?
Jacko
Either that or I think Demon Tweeks are pretty good on bike accessories now......
Chris`I
Or http://www.infinitymotorcycles.com/ are always helpful to me. See what they have and get it of eBay cheaper! Oxford ones looked ok to me when I was looking for one. I ended up covering my R6 with a dustsheet as its in the garage anyway, just keeps it away from prying eyes. I guess you want to make sure its a fleece lined one or at least lined with something as you dont want to scratch his baby This should do it: http://www.infinitymotorcycles.com/prod ... ium%20size)
nixy
is there such a thing as a drive on and zip up one then?
Chris`I
is there such a thing as a drive on and zip up one then? I'm sure there is but I've not seen it. The ones I've see you put over the top and they have bungees underneath or a proper cable thats lockable, that pulls in under the belly of the beast but leaves the tyres exposed. Not see on that truely encases the bike completely (ie drive over the top of it, then zip it over the top of the bike).

nixy
yep, they had the usual stuff but nothing with a zip. That other link is interesting - the barn one - never seen one like that before! Looks a bit cumbersome though but a good idea.

As the the bike barn - yeah, great peice of kit, and geat piece of mind and convenience when you're tucking up the bike after a ride, and it's raining/snowing etc...but like I said, maybe not so great on the driveway (I previously had my bike tucked away in the back garden). nixy
doh! I looked straight at that without seeing it properly! although it looks more like a winter storage thing than an every day cover.
