Neilp
Will this not be adjusted by the tuner to allow the correct air to by pass to stop any lean mix situations?
Vortec27
Not sure can anyone confirm this ?
The Chubby Ninja
that's hwat I was thinking too so that the maximum boost can be adjusted? have you had it mapped?
Vortec27
Yea it's been mapped. I've only adjusted it because of the whistle noise was getting on my nerves wish I never touched it now Edited June 23, 2013 by Vortec27

I think he may have just buggered his tuning and possibly his engine if he drives it

Vortec27
No afr gauge fitted yet. What's compressor surge?
evilscorp
RS never touched mine as it is set from the factory, I haven't touched it either, that whistle noise is surly normal. What is your idle rpm set at? If it was really bothering you maybe enquire about getting the filter GT4ZED (Bennet) has.
evilscorp
When you get off the throttle quick and all the air has nowhere to go as you have closed they bypass valve too much and it then trys to go back through the supercharger the wrong way. Vortec27
Idle set at 900 rpm.The noise was not the normal bypass swoosh jet noise it was like a metal whistle just as I hit the gas Edited June 23, 2013 by Vortec27
Vortec27
All I done is open valve a bit more Not close it . When it was mapped the valve was closed a bit more then I have it now . Might go adjust it back to how it was
evilscorp
When you hit the gas full throttle the valve should fully close, so the whistle sounds like it was leaking maybe? Or not sealing properly, I thought you were talking about when stationary.
