flakmunky
I read that the sidewalls were stronger on the R's. I have just had some (R's) fitted to mine and once the release agent was scrubbed off (after the ~100 miles) the tyres have been great. Loads of grip, low noise and the sound that I worried was a wheel bearing on the way out has disappeared now... For the 1st 100 miles they were a bit scary; felt very skittery! fM
rickya
Flakmunky is corrected the T1-R has stiffer sidewalls than T1-S. This is done by adding a reinforced groove-straight line tread, around the outer edge of the tyre. The T1-S had the arrows type tread going all the way from the centre of the tread, right to the outer edge. Alot of the Scooby & Mitsu owners have found slightly quicker lap times with these, with understeer reduced in tighter corners. Saying that I would imagine the T1-S would have a slightly more supple ride than T1-R.
