Bems
As title says I'm looking to get a DA. Nothing fancy so meguires or kestrel etc. What do you guys recomend and where's best to buy? Any recommended pads and polishes to accompany it for a midnight blue would be appreciated.

RobPhoboS
I have both a DA and rotary (spin doctor), and out of the 2 I'd go for the rotary every time. (DA takes ages imho - although haven't tried with my new pads/polish combo) I'm using Megs #105 & #205 with their burgundy and yellow 7" pads on a black car.
rtbiscuit
down side with rotary is its far easier to burn through your paint if you don;t know what you are doing, or leave swirls in the clear coat.

I think if you manage to do that you should own any power tools
Arran
I've got a Megs G220 v2, cut through my previous BMW paint in no time with the correct pad/polish combo
Bems
Das 6 pro, job done. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polishing-machines/das-6-pro-dual-action-polisher/cat_81.html Is this the same as the power plus? Looks exactly the same apart from colour obviously! http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/kestrel-das6-power-plus-dual-action-machine-polisher-cat10.html
ilogikal1
Yes, Power Plus & Pro are the same machine. I got this kit (with the standard DAS-6) which works well on Nissan paint; http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb-soft-paint-polishing-kit-cat1.html

Bems
I can supply the kestrel das6 for £66 inc vat? That's a good price! I'll consider it. Was looking at the ones withe the side and D shaped handles as they look a little easier to us than the standard das-6.
ilogikal1
All variations of the DAS-6 come with both handles which are interchangeable. I suspect others probably will do as well, but can't confirm that.
