smudgedon
Removed my plenum spacer earlier, everything back in place as normal When starting the engine, it coughs and splutters and has to be given a little throttle to keep it going and there's a horrendous screaming coming from the engine, sounds like a boiling kettle whistling away Checked everything twice now, throttle body all linked up to the intake, all bolts for the plenum done up and vacuum hose is in place Help me please! aidan
Check none of the hoses are kinked when you where refitting them. Does sound like a leak though.

Tarmac@TarmacSportz
As above it has to be a leak somewhere, did you torque the bolts up on the plenum to the correct settings ? I know a certain member who cracked the plenum from over tightening
rtbiscuit
Some people trap hoses or other items between the plenum when refitting, leaving a leak. Also check all hoses are reconnected.
smudgedon
Crisis averted The rubber seal around the oil cap was caught between the upper and lower plenum Mods can delete this if they want
Ekona
Or keep it here so that others don't make the same mistake
glrnet
It's happened before and it will happen again, we'll keep it as it's a useful reminder to others Glad you sussed it though Smudge
