Dave-350
First of all thanks for this guide Mack! Took about 30 minutes in total, however I used one of these to blank. A bit over priced (in my opinion) and took me lots of trial and error with the paint but got there in the end! http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4ac6ade2ba Second of all (as above) I found that the 22mm grommet was better for the washer jet. I turned the one way valve around but would like to disconnect the washer motor. Does anyone know what washer bottle this is on before I start taking the front of the car apart? Sure its linked to the same bottle as the fronts, ie there is only 1 bottle. I THINK!

Mack
Its great to hear my guide has been some use. Cheers for this thread. Was a lot of help apart from I ended up using a 22mm grommet for the washer jet. Thanks again Thanks for the feedback, Ive updated the guide with the correct grommet size. Take some photos and I will add them to the guide. There are 2 bottles, they sit just ahead of the front wheels. I understand one has the pump for the headlight washers and the other the pump for the window washers but I'm not 100% sure. They are connected together by pipes. If you remove one of the pumps or bottles you will need to blank off the pipe outlets.

Xonatron
Mack, Thanks so much for the break down. I am stuck trying to get these parts in US or Canada, most of the stuff here is non-metric. If there happens to be readers of this thread from outside the UK like me, please let me know where I can pick up similar parts. Halfords will not ship across seas. Here's the parts again: Halfords Blanking Grommet 25mm (Code HFX321) £1.79 http://www.halfords....tegoryId_255229 Halfords Aerial Grommets 19, 22 and 24mm (Code HFX215) £1.79 (Only the 22mm is necessary) http://www.halfords....tegoryId_255229 Granville Black Silicone Sealant 40g £4.99 http://www.halfords....catalogId=10151 Edited October 6, 2014 by Xonatron
Mack
Just look on eBay for the grommets. Any 22mm and 25mm blank grommets should do fine. Any decent Silicone sealant will do. Edited October 6, 2014 by Mack
Mikev350z
Great guide. Just completed this today. Looks much sleeker. Thank you.
terry06
Had a go at this yesterday. What should be a simply job turned out to be an hour in the freezing cold with no joy. The wiper arm is stuck on the shaft and no matter what i try it will not come off! Even a hammer and some heat didn't help Looks like my car would prefer to stay wipered up
Mikev350z
Ah mate. Try turning the wiper arm around like undoing a nut. Just checking you removed the cover and nut holding it on?
terry06
I did try that gently but didn't want to shear the whole shaft off as it was just twisting with the arm. Was thinking about cutting the arm off and just buy another if i ever need to put it back on
Mikev350z
It should hold pretty well. Maybe the salt air has got to it from shoreham beach? Hope you get on ok.
terry06
Will give it another go tomorrow. Could be the salty air but i doubt it as it didn't look corroded and only had it a few months. Hopefully a load of wd40 will help loosen it up a bit
luka761
Anyone know if the grommet sizes are the same for a 370Z?? (sorry if this has been asked, I haven't been able to find an answer)
