LukePitt
Hi everyone. I bought an alpine double din DVD/ stereo off of a forum member and had a friend install it yesterday. My issue is that the speakers now have less bass and are alot quieter and tinny'er! Is there something my friend could have done wrong to cause this? LukePitt
Sorry just to add I have the bose stereo. I don't think the subs working but it never has, so it's the front and rear speakers that sound poo!!
gmangt4
Hi, I know its no help but had/have identical issue with the wifes scooby, its the headunit, spoke to some audiophiles at work and they all asked straight away if the headunit was alpine, it seems common for alpines to sound tinny in our tinny jap oem systems lol. You can improve it supposedly using the settings but i've never managed, just gave up and got her a bigger exhaust.
Ekona
You'll need an inline signal booster. Check the sticky in the audio section.
gmangt4
Also forgot to say, the + and - on the speakers being the wrong way round can make the speakers sound " tinny ". Easy way to check is swop the wires on 1 speaker first and see if it improves that speaker.
